Day 4 of PyeongChang Winter Olympics
Good afternoon, I'm Kim Mok-yeon from the news center with the latest on the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games.
Let me give you a brief rundown of the highlights so far and what to look out for.
It's been one of the biggest stories of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics,... but the dreams of the joint-Korean women's ice hockey team were extinguished on Monday night with another heavy loss... this time against fifth-ranked Sweden.
The team went down (eight-zero) in front of a crowd of over four-thousand in Gangneung.
Having lost their first match against Switzerland by the same score,... Korea have no chance of making the next round.
They will play their final match against ninth-ranked Japan on Wednesday.
Japan were also eliminated on Monday after losing 3-1 to Switzerland.

In freestyle skiing,...
South Korea's Choi Jae-woo came up short in the men's moguls event,... despite an incredible run in the qualification round.
Choi,... who finished first in the qualification round,... with 81-point-two-three points,... would go on to finish tied for 10th,... in the first final round.
However, after losing control and crashing before the second jump stand,... the 23-year-old could not complete his run in the second round,... and failed to qualify for the medal round.
Canada's mogul legend Mikael Kingsbury ended up taking the gold, Australia's Matt Graham the silver... and Daichi Hara of Japan snagged the bronze.

Moving on to short track speed skating...
South Korean star Choi Min-jeong is vying for her first Olympic gold in the women's 500 meters event on Tuesday night.
Choi is competing in the event that's scheduled to start at the Gangneung Ice Arena at around 7PM, Korea time.
During Saturday's preliminaries, Choi set a new Olympic record with a time of 42 point-eight-seven seconds.
Many are looking forward to her performance as Team Korea has never won gold in the distance since the event was added to the Winter Games in 1992.

Now, let's take a more detailed look at what's ahead of us on Day Four.
The Men's Alpine Combined Slalom is set for around 3 p.m. Korea time.
Keep an eye out for South Korea's rising star Kim Dong-woo.

2- We are also looking forward to the Men's one-thousand meter short track speed skating event at half past seven.
Lim Hyo-jun , South Korea's first gold medalist of this winter games will be in the second heat,... followed by Seo Yi-ra and Hwang Dae-heon in Heats 6 and 7.

3- Another notable event to watch for speed skating fans... the men's 1,500 meter final in speed skating is set for 8 p.m.

4- And as I mentioned... the women's short track speed skating finals is happening at 9 p.m. tonight. All eyes will be on Choi Min-jeong there.

Let's wrap up by taking a look at the current medal standings.
We will have more updates for you throughout the day so stay tuned.
