Heavy snowfall that has been falling since Saturday night in the Iranian capital of Tehran has caused havoc, shutting down airports and schools.
Major highways heading to Tehran were also blocked due to icy conditions, leaving many motorists stuck in their vehicles for hours.
Power outages were also reported in several districts.
Despite the transport snags, many welcomed the heavy snow, which came amid a severe drought.
