First daughter Ivanka Trump’s recent tweet showing a pile of her fan mail didn’t go over as she’d likely anticipated.
The post features an image of her seated before the correspondence seemingly written by children and the message, “Overjoyed by these beautiful letters. Reading them is one of the highlights of my week.”
The display of adoration and gratitude failed to warm the hearts of many Twitter users.
In voicing their criticism, some went the Donald Trump route.
Those tweets include, “Your dad's handwriting has improved greatly!” and, “I wish your dad would spend more time studying policy and less time writing you all these letters.”
Another suggested a different source, commenting, “Sarah Huckabees part time job is writing cards to Ivanka.”
Of all the notes shown in the picture, many zeroed in on one that includes a drawing of what is presumably Ivanka, depicting her eyes as dollar signs.
Among the responses to that piece are, “this kid nailed it,” and  “we love a role model."
