Hurricane Franklin Blows Ashore Near Veracruz

Hurricane Franklin made its second landfall late Wednesday, August 9, rushing ashore just north of Veracruz, Mexico, with top sustained winds at 85 mph.The storm quickly weakened back to a tropical storm but was expected to dump heavy rains over central Mexico before dissipating later Thursday.This timelapse video shows the storm’s approach to Veracruz from 11 am Wednesday to midnight.
