West Coast of Mexico Sees Cloud Cover as Hurricane Franklin Moves Ashore

Hurricane Franklin made its second landfall late Wednesday, August 9, rushing ashore just north of Veracruz, Mexico, with top sustained winds at 85 mph.The storm quickly weakened back to a tropical storm but is expected to dump heavy rains over central Mexico before dissipating later Thursday.As the storm approached the coast, its wide rain bands brought storm clouds over most of Mexico, including the west coast, seen here in Puerto Vallarta.
