New Orleans Street Submerged After Torrential Rain

Streets in New Orleans, Louisiana, were awash with flood waters on Saturday, July 22, after torrential rain hammered the city.This footage shows Banks Street, in Mid-City. The street is completely submerged with water and various bits of debris can be seen floating about.The New Orleans Advocate reported the “significant flooding stretched throughout the Mid-City area towards Treme,” and about 4.22 inches of water fell on the city within an hour, quoting the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board.
