Mylan Launches Generic EpiPen That is 50% Cheaper
  • 7 years ago
On Friday, one day after 20 U.S. states filed a lawsuit against generic drugmakers over prices, Mylan NV said it would start selling a generic version of its life-saving EpiPen allergy treatment at a discount of more than 50 percent. Mylan's chief executive was called before Congress to testify on raising the price of a pair of EpiPens to more than $600 from $100 in 2008. The company had announced it would launch a generic version of its allergy auto-injector EpiPen for $300 in August, now says that it will be available in pharmacies starting next week.
