Ten Healthiest Small Cities in the U.S.

As part of its annual "Best Places to Live" report MONEY magazine has ranked the ten healthiest locales in the U.S. based on a range of factors, including access to medical care, rates of common diseases, and the residents' own assessments of their personal health. According to Health.com, coming in at number ten is St. Augustine, FL, with low rates of death from heart disease. Number nine is skinny San Rafael, CA, with tiny amounts of obesity. Taking eighth place is Provo, UT, where children have the lowest levels of obesity. Seventh is Cheyenne, WY, where hardly anyone has diabetes. And Nashua, NH is where residents say they feel healthier than anyone else in the country. In fifth place is Quincy, MA, which has the fewest deaths from diabetes, and in fourth place is Woodbury, MN, where residents have the lowest rate of cardiovascular disease. Third is Greenwich, CT, since so many hospitals are available within a fifteen mile radius, and in second place is Koolaupoko, HI, where cancer deaths are lowest. Finally, the Denver suburb of Highlands Ranch, CO, tops the list as the healthiest place to live in America.
