DVB Debate Report: "Loudspeakers drive me almost crazy" (English)

This week in DVB Debate, the studio discusses “ When does sound becomes noise?” In modern day Myanmar, powerful amplifiers have become part of daily life. The loudspeakers are used for different reasons and are mostly used for religious purposes. Scientists measure sound levels in decibel. Sound over 80 decibel is regarded as noise.

According to research, one third of mental patients and one fifth of patients with severe headaches are victims of noise.
