The practice of yoga exercises aims at overcoming the limitations of the body. Other forms of exercises are good but good is not enough, they strain the muscles, joints, the entire skeletal system and cause free radical damage at a cellular level. Although yoga is definitely a form of exercise, it is also much more than that. While several forms of exercise such as running or weightlifting aim to create a stronger body or to reach a weight-loss goal, yoga is a holistic form of mind-and-body awareness that can improve the quality of your life
We all want our children to grow up happy and healthy. So it is truly frightening to discover that childhood obesity, attention deficit, hyperactivity and anxiety disorders. if we introduce naturally nutritious foods and mindful exercise like Yoga and Pilates to kids as early as possible, we can start to reverse these trends.

Avoid:
1. White flour pasta, breads, desserts, granola bars, anything made with "wheat flour"
2. Non-organic milk, cheese, and dairy foods.
3. Red meat that is non-organic
4. Peanuts
5. Corn, unless whole grain & organic
6. Dried fruits (because of moulds, sulphites, colourings, sugar)

Eliminate:
1. Hydrogenated oils, trans fats, margarines, & foods made with them
2. Caffeinated beverages & pop
3. Fruit juices (use only as a sweetener or in desserts)
4. Take out foods (most) & those made with cream sauces especially, and fried foods
5. Ice cream (Substitute frozen yogurt -- add fruit and other toppings)
6. Processed meats
7. Table salt, white sugar & sweeteners: glucose, high fructose corn syrup, malt.
