Business conditions for Korea's manufacturers aren't looking so rosy these days.
Global research firm Markit Economics says Korea's purchasers' management index came to 47-point-six in July.
That's only a slight pick up from last month,... when the index marked its lowest figure since September 2012.
A figure below 50 means the manufacturing sector is contracting.
Markit says Korea's manufacturing output has been on the decline because of fewer new orders,... which in turn lowered employment in the sector.
Korea ranked 24th among 28 countries surveyed,... followed by Thailand, Indonesia, Greece and Brazil.
