President Park Geun-hye, who's currently on a Middle East tour, consoled the U.S. ambassador over the phone today.
Empathizing with his situation... as she was also attacked by a man with a box cutter in 2006, President Park said such violence should not be tolerated.
Promising a prompt investigation, the Korean leader added Seoul will closely cooperate with Washington to prevent any damage to their alliance.
