Tv9 Gujarat - Food security bill passed by Rajya Sabha

Food Security Bill passed in the Rajya Sabha through a voice vote.The bill was passed in Rajya sabha after a long debate in the upper house with the opposition criticising the government for repackaging some existing schemeswith an eye on general elections next year. The Bill proposes to make food a legal right and seeks to provide grain every month to poor people.
