Workers who perform as Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Cinderella at Disneyland resort are looking to unionize. They want to join the Actors' Equity Association union, which represents workers in live theatrical performances. The union says it wants to negotiate for better safety conditions and scheduling policies for the approximately 1,700 character performers. While many other Disneyland workers already belong to unions, these performers have not been unionized.
