First Test NIKON Z6 II Video - 120 FPS, 1920x1080 / Turia Fountain Valencia Spain
  • 7 months ago
I had the Sony A7 for over 5 years and it was time to retire this beloved camera after giving it years of heavy abuse during our travels. For several reasons I decided to go for an entire new system and chose the new Nikon Z6 II - the specs and the price were just too tempting.

Currently I'm still in the getting used to the new camera system and let me tell you, there is a lot to get used to BUT overall I'm extremely pleased with the built and the image / video quality it produces.

Today I'm sharing with you the first video footage I shot with it. I decided to start out with some 120 FPS footage and the Nikon Z6 II maxes out the resolution for that frame-rate at 1920x1080 pixels.

And this is the result for it. I might've exported the video not in the optimal settings but overall I'm very happy with it. And, I def need to invest into a gimbal for that baby, to keep it nice and steady!

I took a similar slow motion video of the Turia Fount when bought the DJI Osmo Pocket, check it out for comparison:

(Just rewatched it .. there is definitely a HUGE difference)

P.S. I'm going to have my Sony A7 be modded to an infrared camera!
