Introduced with Hand-Drawn Sketches on the Body, New Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era Car 2024

This particular Chiron Super Sport took two years to complete and even the sketches alone required 400 hours of work.

With enough cash, Bugatti buyers can customize their cars however they want through the Bugatti Sur Mesure program, which proudly boasts "almost endless" possibilities for customization. But one customer really pushed the boundaries of that claim with the beautiful Bugatti you see here -

Built by an anonymous Bugatti collector with a deep appreciation for the automaker's over 100 years of history, the Golden Era car took two years to complete, with 400 hours devoted to the drawings you see on either side of the car. It features intricate hand-drawn sketches that designers draw with specialty pencils directly on the bodywork. Bugatti says this is one of the most challenging bespoke projects the company has ever undertaken.

“From the beginning, it was clear that we can get an authentic finish for these sketches (and authenticity is very important at Bugatti) but only if we actually use the pencils we use to sketch on paper; fake or poor quality,” said Achim, former Bugatti Design Director, who oversaw the project. Anscheidt. "That's why we had to come up with a process that would allow us to use pencils and do all the sketches by hand directly on the paint."

The passenger side features 26 unique drawings featuring symbols such as the Type 41 Royale and Type 57 SC Atlantic, while the driver's side features 19 sketches documenting Bugatti's history since 1987. This includes modern Bugs like the EB110, Veyron and Chiron, as well as the iconic W16 engine.

The two-tone gradient painting job serves as the canvas for these custom portraits. Nocturne Black on the front fascia blends with the new Dore gold color for this car, which runs from the A-pillar to the rear of the vehicle.

Intricate artwork extends into the cabinet as well. Each door panel is hand painted with three Bugatti icons found on the EB110, Veyron and Chiron on one side and the Type 35, Type 57 SC Atlantic and Type 41 Royale on the other. Elsewhere there's elegant Golden Era stitching and a handwritten "One-of-One" description.

Price? It doesn't matter - it won't be a replica of the one-of-a-kind Chiron Super Sport. But given some of the other Bugatti's one-off costs, we expect it to be in the multi-millions. The car will be on display during Monterey Car Week before heading to a very wealthy collector's garage.
