Block Clean & Jerks 183lb

Followed up with Block Cleans and decided l may as well continue working those Jerks. Block Cleans force me to get it done with much less ROM. This forces me to 'finish the pull' or 'fully extend'. When the weight gets heavy on Cleans, you'll hit a point of wanting to 'rush under the bar'. This seems right, but you're cheating yourself out of creating more vertical lift. Cleans, unlike Deadlifts, get faster above the knee. On a Deadlift, you only need to lift the bar high enough to stand up fully. On a Clean, you want to stand up fully while moving the bar as fast as possible so that you are pulled underneath. These Block Cleans force me to get as fast as possible. The Jerks were still all about getting my head through. Weightswere 149½lb, 172lb & 183lb. Hope you're getting ready to Kill It this weekend! God Bless!
