A body has been found on the shoreline of Glasgow in search for missing 54-year-old Brian Lindores.

While a formal identification is yet to take place Brian’s family have been informed.

He was last seen on 5 June near Calton Place and was reported missing two days later.

Next, Govanhill residents protested over a rat infestation in a children’s playground, saying kids were now too scared to use it.

GMB members supported the protest, arguing it is a public health issue that could have “fatal consequences” if someone is bitten.

Glasgow City Council confirmed pest control teams have been laying bait but leftover food for birds is undermining the effectiveness of measures.

And in other news, the lowest paid workers at Glasgow Airport are to receive an 11 percent pay increase.

The deal was secured by Unite the Union which was backed by around 100 employees, and will see a 7 percent increase on basic salary rates with a £1,000 one-off payment.
