The Cootamundra Girls’ Home once housed Aboriginal children who were taken from their families, severing all ties with their culture in order to assimilate them into mainstream Australian society in the early-to-mid 1900s. Survivors and descendants of the home are marking the start of Reconciliation Week with a reunion by Sydney Harbour.
