Wales headlines 12 May: Inquest hears 15 year old killed by car at zebra crossing

Four people have denied attempted murder after an incident in Rhyl on Sunday in which a person was taken to hospital. Two women, 37 and 18, a man 18 and a boy 17, were all charged for attempted murder. All four accused will stand trial in Mold crown court in October.

An inquest has heard that a girl killed by a car in Cardiff on 1st May was on a zebra crossing walking home. Keely Morgan, 15, had spent the day with her family at Barry Island and went for a walk when she returned home. A 40 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

A popular cafe in the centre of Bute park looks set to close as its lease will run out this year. The Secret Garden Cafe has been at its present location for 5 years and has raised money for the park and invested over £100,000 into it. The council says the cafe can bid for a new lease in June.
