A motorist has died in an accident that closed parts of the m4 for around 8 hours on Monday. South Wales Police confirmed a 44 year old man was killed after a mercedes van crashed into the central reservation westbound between Bridgend and Pyle. Police are appealing for dashcam footage.
Union bosses have announced plans for Welsh government and Natural Resources Wales workers to take industrial action over the next few months. Staff will walk out on 11th May and 7th June in a dispute over pay. The Prospect Union say a 4% pay offer would erode living standards.
Newport has been named the city least interested in being healthier based on internet search data. Research from bulk.com found only around 250 searches per 100,000 residents, putting Newport at the very bottom of the list across the whole of the UK.
