Top trauma surgeons describe rise in e-scooter injuries as 'new disease'

One of WA's top trauma surgeons has described the rising number of hospital presentations of e-scooter-related injuries as a "new disease". There's been a 300 per cent increase in e-scooter injuries since 2017, with a significant number of people riding while drunk, on drugs or without a helmet.
