Out-of-control motor scooter hits elderly man, causing severe injuries

Shocking footage has emerged from China of an out-of-control scooter crashing into an elderly man, causing severe injuries.
The video, filmed in Jincheng, Shanxi Province on November 20, shows the driver suddenly falling off the vehicle at a cross roads when the accelerator appears to get jammed.
The scooter then speeds across the junction into a man on the other side, knocking him to the floor.
The elderly man was badly injured, but police were able to get him to hospital quickly and he is now reportedly recovering.
