More than 200 schools and a number of roads across much of South Wales have closed due to weather conditions as up to 10cm of snow has covered much of the area. Higher regions have experienced more snow, with a number of incidents on the roads leading to road closures in Caerphilly and the Rhigos mountain pass.

Hundreds of people took part in a vigil on Tuesday evening in memory of the three people who died in a car crash on the weekend. The trio, all aged under 25 had been missing since Friday night, but were found off the a48 on Sunday evening. Two other passengers remain in a critical condition in hospital.

CCTV footage has been released of a fight that broke out on a train between Swansea and Cardiff on Saturday evening as it approached Neath Station. So much blood was found on the scene that the carriage was taken out of commission to be cleaned. British Transport Police are appealing for those with information.
