Fugitive gunman Tahir Zarif has been jailed for life for the murder of Akhtar Javeed in 2016 after fleeing to Pakistan. Zarif fled the UK days later but was finally tracked down and detained by police in Mirpur on January 17, 2018 following two years on the run.
A suspected knife man has been arrested after a West Midlands Police officer was stabbed during disorder in Kings Heath on Wednesday. The crime suspect, a man in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and remains in custody while investigations continue.
A a collaboration between Dishoom and charity partners have donated more than 15 million meals to children in schools across England, Scotland and India. Dhishoom Birmingham has also donated over 300 meals to local charity, Let's Feed Brum. Together, they have fed more than two million children per week.
