हिंदू धर्म में पूर्णिमा को बेहद खास माना जाता है. इस बार की पौष मास की पूर्णिमा 06 जनवरी 2023 को मनाई जाएगी. यह साल 2023 की पहली पूर्णिमा है. पूर्णिमा के दिन चंद्रमा पूर्ण आकार में होता है. पौष को भगवान सूर्य का महीना कहा जाता है इसलिए इस महीने में आने वाली पूर्णिमा को पौष पूर्णिमा कहते हैं. हिन्दू धर्म में इस पूर्णिमा का काफी महत्व दिया जाता है और इस दिन लोग अलग-अलग रीति-रिवाज़ों से पूजा करते हैं. मान्यता के अनुसार, पौष पूर्णिमा पर विधिवत पूजन से मनुष्य को मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है. पौष पूर्णिमा के दिन दान, स्नान और सूर्य देव को अर्घ्य देने का विशेष महत्व बतलाया गया है.

On the full moon day, the moon is in its full size. Paush is called the month of Lord Surya, therefore the full moon that falls in this month is called Paush Purnima. A lot of importance is given to this full moon in Hindu religion and on this day people worship with different customs. According to the belief, a man attains salvation by duly worshiping on Paush Purnima. On the day of Paush Purnima, the special importance of donation, bath and offering Arghya to the Sun God has been explained.
