Maharashtra political crisis: Sena leader Eknath Shinde, rebel MLAs move to Guwahati

A day after Maharashtra minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, along with 40 rebel MLAs, holed up in a hotel in Surat, Gujarat, they left for Guwahati in the early hours of Wednesday morning on a special flight.

They are currently staying at the Raddison Blu hotel in Guwahati. According to sources, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the hotel hosting rebel MLAs early on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has convened a Cabinet meeting today at 1 pm.
