Assam CM welcomes ban on PFI, says radicals will be dealt with iron fist; more
As the Centre banned the Popular Front of India (PFI) for 5 years, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma while addressing the media, said he welcomed the government's ban on PFI and its fronts. He added that the Assam government has already initiated follow-up action and sealed PFI offices in several locations.
He added that authorities have picked up PFI members and will continue looking for more. "Radicals will be dealt with iron fist," he said.
