Court orders police to release detained farmers who reported on crop destruction
  • 2 years ago
The Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) claimed that the Perak police assisted a developer in Chepor Impian in forcibly evicting several farmers off 50 hectares of agricultural land without a court order on April 13.

The small farmers' crops such as sweet potatoes, corn and vegetables were also said to be destroyed for private development while two party members got arrested on the spot.

Later, four farmers and two other PSM members who arrived at the scene to make a report were also taken by the police.

PSM was at the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Enforcement Department yesterday to lodge a report on the issue and demand a thorough investigation.
