भारत ने चीन की ओर से अरुणाचल प्रदेश के 15 स्थानों के नाम बदलने के कदम को पूरी तरह से खारिज किया है.भारत ने कहा है कि यह राज्य हमेशा से भारत का अभिन्न अंग रहा है और हमेशा रहेगा.चीन की तरफ से नाम बदलने से कभी भी तथ्य नहीं बदलेंगे.गौरतलब है कि चीन ने भारत के पूर्वोत्तर राज्य अरुणाचल प्रदेश में 15 और स्थानों के लिए चीनी अक्षरों, तिब्बती और रोमन वर्णमाला के नामों की घोषणा की है.इसके बाद भारत ने इस मामले में अपनी कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया दी है.
