Maharashtra to review guidelines for domestic, international air travellers: Health Minister Rajesh Tope

Given the concern over the highly mutant coronavirus variant, Omicron, the Maharashtra government issued a new circular for domestic and international air travellers. The guidelines cover passengers travelling within Maharashtra, flying from other states, besides at-risk and non-at-risk countries. Meanwhile, the Centre on Wednesday asked the Maharashtra government to revise its guidelines for international travellers to ensure that a uniform standard operating procedure (SOP), according to the rules laid down by the Union Health Ministry, is followed by all states. Here’s what Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on the issue.
