As the sun played out in Trent Bridge, Virat Kohli and his team looked all set to clinch the first win of the 5-Test match series against England. After dismissing the likes of Cook & Root pretty early, India had to wait for more than 2 hours to dismiss the partnership between Jos Buttler & Stokes. Buttler carried on his exceptional return in International cricket & notched up his maiden 100 in Test cricket. While on the other hand, Stokes brought up his slowest 50 in Tests. But as soon as the second new ball was taken by India, Jasprit Bumrah showed his magic. He got back to back wickets of Buttler & the injured Bairstow. Chris Woakes too no answer to his bouncer & England tumbled like a sack of potato. Some resilience was shown by Adil Rashid & Chris Broad as they notched up a 50 run partnership for the 9th wicket but the target was too much for England in the end. Kohli & Co. now have the series at 2-1.
