3rd ODI (Headingley): Highlights from India (IND) vs England (ENG)
England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss in the Royal London final ODI at Leeds & elected to bowl. The pitch looked a decent track with a little grass on it. India’s captain Virat Kohli brought in Dinesh Karthik & Shardul Thakur in the playing XI.

India’s batting never got going except the skipper Kohli, who looked at its fluid best with regards to other batsman. He became the fastest ODI captain to score 1000, 2000 & 3000 runs in the fewest innings. Under fire MS Dhoni scored a valiant 40 odd in 66 balls as India reached a bleak 256 runs.

Set a target of 257 runs, England were off to a blistering start courtesy Johnny Bairstow who scored at a strike rate of 230.8. Joe Root continued his form & steadied the English while keeping the run rate more than the required. In the end the target seemed like a walk in the park for England as they won the bilateral ODI series against India 2-1.
