PM Modi attends Abhidhamma Day event in Kushinagar, hails Gautam Buddha's contributions

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday attended an event marking Abhidhamma Day at the Mahaparinirvana Temple in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar. "Buddha is the inspiration of India's constitution even today. Buddha is global, because he talks about starting from within," PM Modi said. "Today, when the world talks about environmental protection and expresses its concern about climate change, then many questions arise about it. But, if we adopt the message of Buddha, then instead of 'who will do', the path of 'what to do', will start showing itself", he added.
