A century ago... three men ...made the arduous trip by plane from Melbourne to the Red Centre.. in what was the "first flight" to Alice Springs.

100 years on.. And the anniversary has been celebrated.. with a re-enactment of the event ....that marked the beginning of aviation in the outback.
