Dr. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director of WHO- South-East Asia said that the way Delta variant of the Covid-19 virus will soon become most dominant strain of the dreadful virus across the globe.

“Delta variant has spread to over 100 countries. The way it is spreading is slightly to soon become the most dominant Covid strain globally. Among all variants of concern, delta spreads most rapidly”, she said.

“India has been offered 7.5 million doses of Moderna vaccine through WHO's Covid Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) program”, she added.
