SADC rapid response force may be deployed to Mozambique

An almost 3-thousand strong SADC Rapid Response Force may be deployed to Mozambique to help combat Islamist insurgents in Cabo Delgado. This is according to a proposal presented by military officials to the SADC Security Troika. A Troika meeting planned for today was postponed because President Cyril Ramaphosa is before the State Capture Inquiry and Botswana's Mokgweetsi Masisi is in isolation due to COVID-19. Adriano Nuvunga from the Mozambique Centre for Democracy and Development, discusses this. Courtesy #DStv403
