As Covid-19 cases continue to rise in the country, migrant workers are returning to their native places from Surat. A migrant worker said, “People are going home because they fear lockdown could be imposed once again. And they want to avoid the pain they endured during the lockdown last year." Migrant workers were seen at large numbers at bus depots to leave the city.
