‘Khela Hobe (Game On)’, a slogan coined by Trinamool Congress leader Debangshu Bhattacharya, is currently a rage at the ruling party’s rallies with leaders and workers freely invoking it. The slogan suggests a sportsman-like challenge, ‘let the best side win’. But for voters, it has much more darker connotations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his own spin to the slogan while lashing out at the ruling party. The Prime Minister said that the TMC’s game was over, and it was time for development.
