Iran vows revenge for assassination of its top nuclear scientist

Tensions are escalating in Iran following the killing of the country's key nuclear scientist.
Iran's supreme leader and president have vowed revenge while pointing the finger at Israel for being behind the attack.

Mok-yeon, Iran has promised retaliation,... for the assassination of its top nuclear scientist.
The country is blaming Israel for Friday's attack,... in which Mohsen Fakh-riza-deh was ambushed and gunned down in his car.
Fakhrizadeh is known as the founder and the prime leader of Iran's nuclear program.
Israel has decline to comment on the incident.
But in 2018,... the Israeli prime minister mentioned the scientist, saying "remember that name",... as he was accusing Iran for continuing its nuclear weapons program.
Whoever is behind the attack,... the killing is likely to renew tension between Iran and the U.S. Israel's ally,... that has repeatedly accused Iran over nuclear issues.
It will also complicate any efforts by President-elect Joe Biden to restore ties with Tehran.
