South Korea's current account surplus in September surpassed the 10 billion U.S. dollar mark for the first time in two years.
The Bank of Korea released the preliminary data on the country's current account balance on Thursday, which represents the country's transactions with the rest of the world.
The surplus stood at 10-point-two-one billion dollars last month,... up about 32 percent on-year.
It was also the 5th monthly surplus in a row.
The surplus was driven by the recovery in exports led by semiconductors and automobiles.
A senior ministry official said indicators suggest a rebound in the fourth quarter.
