Pfizer is calling for patience over the results of its late-stage COVID-19 vaccine trial.
In a conference call Tuesday, ... the drug-maker's CEO said the initial results from their 44-thousand-person international study, ...expected by the end of this month, ...may not come until next week.
He ruled out the possibility of early results before the U.S. presidential election.
Pfizer still estimates it will have safety data from the first 22-thousand patients in the third week of November.
After that, it can apply for emergency use authorization from the FDA.
