Mayawati calls Ballia shooting incident alarming; stubble burning menace; more

A 46-year-old man was shot dead as a fracas broke out Thursday at a meeting attended by administration and police officials over allotment of ration shops in a Ballia village, PTI quoted officials as saying. BSP chief, in a tweet, said the incident was "alarming".
