The Rajasthan government has once again filed an application in the Rajasthan High Court to postpone the elections of the 6 municipal corporations of Jaipur, Kota and Jodhpur districts. In this, permission has been sought to hold elections till 31 March 2021. The state government has also given a copy of the application to the Election Commission counsel. It is likely to be heard this week. Due to this, the chances of postponement of the newly formed six municipal corporations have increased once again.

राजस्थान सरकार ने जयपुर, कोटा और जोधपुर जिले के 6 नगर निगमों के चुनाव स्थगित कराने के लिए एक बार फिर से राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट में अर्जी दी है. इसमें चुनाव 31 मार्च 2021 तक कराने की अनुमति मांगी गई है. राज्य सरकार ने प्रार्थना-पत्र की प्रति चुनाव आयोग के वकील को भी दे दी है. इस पर इसी सप्ताह सुनवाई होने की संभावना है. इससे एक बार फिर से नवगठित 6 नगर निगमों के चुनाव स्थगित होने की संभावनायें बढ़ गई है.
