The Indian Army bolstered its dominance over a number of strategic heights overlooking key Chinese-held positions around Pangong lake area in eastern Ladakh last week even as brigade commanders and commanding officers of the two militaries held talks to cool tensions in the region. पहले जब ड्रैगन ने सीमा पर घुसपैठ करने की कोशिश की थी तो उस दौरान भारतीय सेना ने तीन महीने तक चीन के पीछे जाने का इंतजार किया था। लेकिन बाद में सेना प्रमुख जनरल मनोज मुकुंद नरवणे और कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल वाईके जोशी ने ऑपरेशन स्नो लियोपार्ड को हरी झंड़ी दिखा दी। इसी ऑपरेशन के तहत सीमा के पास रणनीतिक तौर पर मजबूत चोटियों को पहचाना गया।
