Yoshihide Suga set to become Japan's next Prime Minister

The new leader of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party, Yoshihide Suga, is expected to be appointed as the country's new Prime Minister in the coming hours.
There will be a vote in the LDP majority led parliament paving the way for Suga's confirmation.
Suga is expected to serve until September 2021, the end of his predecessor Shinzo Abe's original term.
He has said he will conduct a cabinet reshuffle focused on serving the public.
