The Indian Army has rejected Chinese PLA’s claims that the Indian troops attempted to transgress into the Chinese territory in eastern Ladakh on Monday night that led to the firing and skirmish. Dismissing the allegations, the Indian Army has said the Chinese army fired in the air and were trying to close in on Indian posts. The Indian Army has issued a detailed statement on what transpired on Monday evening in Ladakh and said the Chinese PLA has been “blatantly violating agreements and carrying out aggressive manoeuvres”. The Indian Army said, “India, while is committed to disengagement and de-escalating the situation on the LAC, China continues to undertake provocative activities to escalate. At no stage has the Indian Army transgressed across the LAC or resorted to use of any aggressive means, including firing.”
