Flash floods strike North Carolina; rescue vehicles activated

Severe thunderstorms moved into southwestern North Carolina on Monday, bringing heavy rain and flooding in the area. (August 31, 2020)

A video shows rescue activity of a vehicle involved in a flood in Salisbury, 44 miles northeast away of Charlotte.

The National Weather Service issued Flash Flood Warnings for the area, and several roads have been closed.
