Birmingham fire: Thick black smoke rises above city - latest updates

THICK black smoke has been seen rising across Birmingham after a huge fire broke out at an industrial estate in the city.
Several people took to social media to post footage showing thick grey clouds rising into the sky. The smoke could be seen from much of the city, including Birmingham Airport, the city centre, the Jewellery Quarter, Moseley, Digbeth, Edgbaston, Sparkbrook and several other areas. West Midlands Fire Service has rushed to the scene at Tyseley Industrial Unit.
All residents are being urged to keep their doors and windows shut.
It is unclear yet if anyone has been injured.
West Midlands Fire Service tweeted: "We currently have 10 appliances plus specialist appliances in attendance at a severe fire at Tyseley Industrial Estate #Birmingham.
"Please keep doors and windows closed."
