Thick smoke rose into air after rocket debris fell into a village in northwestern China.

The video, filmed in the county of Luonan in Shaanxi Province on September 7, shows rocket debris dropping down from the air, while scared villagers shouted: "It is falling down! It is falling down!"

In another clip, a cloud of orange smoke rose into the air.

The windows in villagers' houses were shattered and debris with Chinese characters "China aerospace" was found on a hill.

According to reports, a Chinese Long March 4B carrier rocket launched a new earth-watching satellite - Gaofen 11 at Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre on September 4.
